Re: Ticket office as bad as ever
The reality is, the best way to get a ticket is to get yer arse down to the ground and present it at the TO.

Prehistoric maybe, but more reliable than all the other modern shit.

Assuming tickets are available.

I don't see what was wrong with the first come first serve thing that they have always done? Personally thought that was fine as you know pretty much straightaway if you have a ticket or not, so you know wehere you stand. How long approx do you have to wait until you find out if you got lucky via the ballot?

Re: Ticket office as bad as ever
Ballots are the only way to do it fairly - well, most fairly. Demand exceeds supply, meaning someone's unhappy and whatever method used is the worst for them.

Believe me, foreign fans are something of a special interest for some in the TO. There just isn't a way to help everyone.

Entering a fucking BALLOT and then waiting in anticipation to find out if you have been 'lucky' enough to get a ticket to watch us play Bournemouth?? I really don't know whether to laugh or cry.

FC; well, sort of then not. Why deprive in country supporters of a seat just because i decide to turn up once in a blue moon?

Re: Ticket office as bad as ever
Is it not worth maybe taking a slight hit be getting them tickets sorted you've seen, but pricey but you've got them? I really don't think you'll struggle to get one (unless we are TOP) through out the season.

ALWAYS spares on here, always.

Anyone who lives abroad and wants to see a game, should be given special dispensation as regards tickets, it's not as if we're talking thousands is it, mind, it didn't help me when I travelled from the USA to watch the mighty Crewe Alex a few years back

Being in the ballot doesn't get you a ticket mind. I'd go with your fallback.

I think that this email establishes beyond too much doubt that Tara is a bit of a cunt.

For a right handed bowler, a leggie turns away from the bat, a googly into the bat. For a left hander, the chinaman turns into the bat, the googly turns away.

I was on a cricket coaching course and Clive Lloyd was asked, as part of the exam, which way left arm wrist spinners turned the ball and what instructions he'd give to his team.

He said "I'd tell the entire side to get their pads on".

Re: Ticket office as bad as ever
Chinaman is a left arm leg break isn't it, whereas a Googly is for right arms, Richie Benaud bowled a wicked wrong 'un

FC,

I have; she denied any website issues, her staff have contradicted her. I've asked her two more rather uncomfortable questions too.

Quiz time.

Which way do Chinamen and Googlies turn?

Leg breaks and googlies?

Haha.......good questions, those. I couldn't pick leggies either; just played for a leg break, but in the days when you shoved your leg down the pitch and it was ok to kick the ball.

So we've gone from 26k STs and 0 waiting list to 52k STs and nigh on 50k on a waiting list?

Has anything ever seen such an uplift in demand by simply changing the place where that product was offered?

I find it very strange to be honest.

Re: Ticket office as bad as ever
Kevin, we have had quite an in depth investigation this morning and I am pleased to report that there are no issues with the system and we haven't had a single other complaint in relation to it,in fact quite the opposite we have been inundated with compliments and praise for the new system and its simplicity.

Of course ballot entry does not guarantee your ticket by its very nature.

We have over 52,000 season ticket holders and a similar number on the waiting list and of course our away allocation obligations which means match by match tickets for this fixture are very limited.

Claret membership does therefore give you the best possible chance of being successful via ballot in the exclusive window.

That said we of course do not wish for any supporters - especially loyal supporters such as yourself to experience any issues. To that end the most senior member of our ticket office who has overseen the ticketmaster transition will be happy to call you to talk you through the process and help to overcome your user issues.

Given the time difference it may be better for you to suggest the best time U.S. And UK time to avoid any confusion and to please also give us your telephone number including any dialling codes.

We look forward to helping you resolve these issues and give you the best possible chance of securing your ticket.

Thanks again for your support and Come on You Irons!

Best regards
Tara
